Marie-Pierre Maître
Marie-Pierre Maître advises and litigates on industrial environmental law and occupational health and safety issues.
She assists large industrial groups and small and medium-sized companies in their projects and development strategies, particularly in their relations with the administration, their actions to anticipate regulations, and regulatory compliance.
Managing Partner of ATMOS Avocats (formerly known as Selarl Huglo Lepage et Associés until 31 December 2017), she is also a Paris and Brussels Bars member.
She is also recognized for her expertise in chemical and hazardous materials law (REACH, Rohs, radionuclides, asbestos, nanomaterials, etc.) as well as renewable energy law (biomass, wind power, mechanization, etc.).
She develops litigation strategies before the administrative courts in environmental matters or civil and criminal environmental issues.
She assists her clients in securing their projects (ICPE authorization requests, protected species derogations, land clearing files, etc.), in their legal design, and assists petitioners in their dealings with the administration. She also helps them respecting their obligations regarding public information, public participation (general inquiries), and prior consultation (public debate).
She carries out HSE audits for mergers/acquisitions, drafts clauses (purchase/sale, warranty clause...), lease contracts...
In addition to national law, she also works in European Union law and comparative environmental law. There, she provides legal support to lobby for changes in European and national law.
From a strategic and legal point of view, she assists companies in their regulatory compliance and their ISO 14 001 and OHSAS 18 001 certification processes. She carries out personalized regulatory reference systems and regulatory compliance audits and strategic, legal and regulatory monitoring in the areas of the environment, occupational health and safety, health and safety, and products.
Our clients' sectors of activity include aeronautics/aerospace, surface treatment, waste management, logisticians, transporters, agri-food, telecommunications, and energy companies.
She is a member of the editorial board of the journals Energie-Environnement-Infrastructures (Ed. Lexis Nexis), Environnement & Technique (Cogiterra Ed.), Bulletin de Droit de l'Environnement Industriel (BDEI) (Wolters Kluwer).

She holds a DEA in domestic public law (1992) and a DEA in Community law (1993) and is a Doctor of Law (summa cum laude - congratulations of the jury - Paris II).Specialization

Teaching and Training Interventions
